Here I made a leather wrap bracelet decorated with the batik technique. The bracelet itself is easy to make, I used quite thick leather (2.4mm) and cut it with a strap cutter about 1cm wide. The bracelet is 62 cm long, I can wrap it around my wrist three times. It’s fastened with 2 Sam brown studs.
Batik on leather is my favourite decorating technique for leather at the moment. I made leather rings and wallets with it. The wallet post comes with a tutorial that describes how I apply the colours onto the leather.
A strap cutter is a great tool to cut longer straps with, although it’s possible to cut along a metal ruler, but more difficult to get a straight strap. I sometimes buy leather straps intended for belt making, they come in different widths, I can often make 2 to 4 bracelets out of one belt strap.
